Ishman's double-double lands him Liga MB Player of the Week award

37-year old American swingman Eddie Ishman (197-G/F-1986) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for AD Isidro Metapan and receives a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 8.
He had a double-double of 26 points and 15 rebounds, while his team crushed San Salvador (#1, 7-1) with 24-point margin 83-59. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Metapan maintains the 3rd position in Salvadorean Liga MB. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Metapan will need more victories to improve their 6-2 record. In the team's last game Ishman had a remarkable 78.6% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Metapan, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Miles College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Ishman is in league's top in rebounds (8th best: 12.5rpg) and averages solid 1.4bpg,2.5spg and 61.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Nick Moore (198-PF-1991) of Fantasmas De San Vicente. He is American forward in his first season at Fantasmas. In the last game Moore recorded an impressive double-double of 26 points and 25 rebounds. Bad luck as Fantasmas lost that game 57-70 to the higher-ranked Santa Tecla (#5, 5-3). This loss caused Fantasmas to drop to 8th position in the standings. 6 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Fantasmas managed to get this year. Moore is one of the most experienced players at Fantasmas and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Lee Vasquez (176-SG-1991) of league's second-best MC El Brasil Santa Ana. Vasquez got into 30-points club by scoring 39 points in the last round. He went also for seven assists. He was a key player of Santa Ana, leading his team to a 99-85 easy win against the lower-ranked Santiagueno (#10, 1-7). Santa Ana needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 2 lost games. Vasquez has a great season in El Salvador. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.9ppg (2nd best) and assists with 5.0apg (4th best). He also has 3.4spg and a FGP of 61.6%.
